Marcello 3rd in Baffle Stakes at Santa Anita

Congratulations to Kirk and Deby Wycoff, breeders of the Hidden Brook born and raised three-year-old colt Marcello. The son of Johannesburg turned in a terrific performance in Saturday's Baffle S. at Santa Anita going 6 1/2 furlongs on the turf. With Jose Valdivia Jr in the irons, Marcello stayed well off the pace in the early going and with a sixteenth of a mile to go angled out into the center of the track with a late charge to take the show spot.
