Bay to Bay takes $200,000 American Guineas
5/25/2010

Hidden Brook yearling graduate Bay to Bay split foes on the far turn and drove to a 2 1/2-length victory in the $200,000 American 1000 Guineas at Arlington on May 22nd.

A Sovereign Award finalist as champion 2-year-old filly in Canada last year, Bay to Bay was making just her second start of 2010, following a narrow loss in the Grade 3 Appalachian S. at Keeneland in mid-April.

The daughter of Sligo Bay has now won or placed in all six of her starts, including four stakes, for earnings of $297,578. She was bred in Florida by Adena Springs, and sold to owner Robert Smitheen for $35,000 at the 2008 Keeneland September Sale.
