Hidden Brook graduate Discreetly Mine set off fireworks with his stirring victory in the $200,000 Jersey Shore S.-G3 at Monmouth on July 4th.
The Joyce Robsham homebred, foaled and raised at Hidden Brook, took charge in the stretch to win his second Graded race of the year going away.
Under new rider Johnny Velasquez and carrying top weight of 123 lbs., Discreetly Mine tracked the pace-setters on the rail through fast farctions of :22 flat and :44 4/5. Despite being squeezed while making his move to the outside, Discreetly Mine showed his courage, and bounded to a 1 1/4-length victory in 1:09 3/5.
A Grade 1 performer at two and multiple Graded stakes winner at three, Discreetly Mine boasts a career record of 11-3-4-0 and $559,350.
