Street Life makes it 2 in a row with stakes debut victory in Broad Brush S. at Aqueduct!
3/17/2012
Carrying the lucky number seven on a sunny St. Patrick's Day in New York, Hidden Brook purchase and partnership horse Street Life turned on the turbos in the final strides of the $75,000 Broad Brush Saturday to win his stakes debut convincingly. Making only his third career start and under a patient ride by Junior Alvarado, Street Life sat comfortably in fourth position until asked for a run in the stretch. He kicked into gear late, eating up the ground in the last few strides of 1-1/16th mile event, to defeat the front running Copy My Swagger.
In his previous start, the Street Life colt overcame some tight quarters after being nearly out of contention, weaving through traffic to an impressive win in the Aqueduct maiden special weight.
Trained by Chad Brown, Street Life is owned by a partnership that includes Magnolia Racing Stable, Hidden Brook and Dan Zucker.
